Refuse and Recycling Collection

Trash and Recycling pickup is still suspended.

However, once it resumes, we will service all in the community.

It is imperative that citizens wait until the snowfall has ended to ensure proper service, as materials can be covered in snow and possibly missed.

Citizens may also consider making pathways to the street, in intervals at least, to assist our workers in collecting safely.

PLEASE NOTE:

Neighbors, please avoid putting snow ❄ back into the streets after being plowed. It increases icy conditions, especially overnight.

DSNY Is Hiring Snow Laborers

Snow Laborer registration now open!

Each October, we recruit temporary, per diem snow laborers. These workers are called on after heavy snowfalls to remove snow and ice Citywide from areas like bus stops, crosswalks and fire hydrants. Pay starts at $15.00 per hour and increases to $22.50 per hour after the first 40 hours worked in a week. Apply at the following link – DSNY – Work with Us (nyc.gov)
